Brie Larson Witnessed A Wedding Proposal At Comic Con

If merely the thought of a wedding proposal has you welling up, then spare a moment for Brie Larson this week who just had the sweetest and most relatable reaction to an engagement.

The Captain Marvel star recently attended ACE Comic Con during which she met with fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and her fellow superhero ‘colleagues’ including Tessa Thompson and Tom Holland.

During a photo opportunity with two of her fans, one man John Chambrone got down on one knee and proposed to his boyfriend, Richard Owens.

In the snap, Larson looks as though she's in shock, as Chambrone holds up a ring to his now fiancé. Perhaps she's in disbelief that a) she’s the jam in this romantic sandwich and b) that she’s witnessed the adorable moment.

‘Y'all I was present for a proposal and I am CHANGED. Much love to the happy couple!!!! [sic]’ the Oscar winner captioned a photo of the proposal.

Chambrone later opened up about the meeting on Facebook describing it as ‘the most epic moment’ of his life. He also explained that he wrote a letter to the actress explaining what her Marvel character meant to him and his relationship.

‘The movie meant a lot to us and I was so glad that he now shares my passion for the greatest superhero in all the known universes,’ he said he wrote in the letter about the Marvel film.

Days before the proposal, Larson accepted an award at Variety's Power of Women luncheon for her work as an actress but also her off-screen support for the Equal Justice Initiative, a group that works to end mass incarceration and end excessive punishment in the US.

Earlier this year, the trailer landed for Larson’s debut directorial project, Unicorn Store.

In the film, Larson takes on the lead role of Kit, a daydreamer who struggles to find her place in the world after being kicked out of art school.

The film is available to view on Netflix.
